By the age of 5 Kim was an artist and by 17 a fashion model with Elite New York and Elite Paris which ignited her love of photography while being on set daily. She knew at 18 she wanted to be the photographer. Not fulfilled as a model, she became an agent with City MM in SF for 8 years developing new face portfolios working with some of the industry’s most talented and exciting new photographers. While giving up the fashion industry to raise her 5 children, moving to the very remote Lassen National Forest, and running a B and B, Kim began planning and photographing weddings while she studied art at night at 2 local colleges. She opened her photo studio in 2006 with her very artistic eclectic background and in front of her constant study of photography and art. Her work as a destination wedding photographer has taken her to the upper east side of Manhattan, the Caves of the Wine Country and The shores of Lake Tahoe. Read More... Today she also teaches a 12 week series on the 6 Elements of Design through the watercolor media with an emphasis on color theory to 4th, 5th and 6th graders. She photographs weddings, portraits and paints. She has won two 1st place awards through the Northwood’s gallery. Her work hangs in two galleries. She has had numerous solo and partnered shows.
