Rodrigo Del Rio Lozano, “Gogo” for friends and family, specializes in wedding destination, sub-aquatic and landscape photography at the Riviera Maya, his passion for this amazing place started 11 years ago for all its diversity. Rodrigo has explored the corners of the Riviera in different ways; land, aerial and underwater. He will do whatever to capture the image exactly the way he pictured it in his head achieving something that says it all.

Rodrigo discovered photography at the age of 8 years old at the celebration of his sisters First Communion and he studied at the “American College of Photography Ansel Adams” in Mexico City where he majored in Communication Media Producer. Since the beginning he showed an explosive creativity in the field of art photography which has taken him to discover different genres, from Photojournalism to Forensic photography, from spontaneous portraits on the beach to formal studio sessions, from urban space context to special events such as weddings or shows and to the most common human situations. Rodrigo moved to the Mexican Caribbean in the state of Quintana Roo, where he practices sub-aquatic activities such as Cave Diving where he did his first professional work as a photographer. He was part of several Photo Studios where he learned, developed and mastered his creativity and skills in portraits, social events and weddings. At the same time on the science ground he took part and photographed in a documentary way a Sub-aquatic Archeological Project at the Nevado de Toluca in 2010 and the “Galeón de Manila” project in Baja California in 2011 funded by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH, Mexico). In the later project some of his photographs participated on a international contest that promotes the “Society for Historical Archeology” taking two first places and a second place in different categories.

Thanks to his great versatility he also took part in the Extreme Altitude Dive World Record “Ojos del Salado, 6,390 m.s.n.m. 2010” in the Atacama Desert, Chile. The final photographs are part of the latest catalog of the Swiss watch company “Azimuth”. His work can be found in several publications such as: “El Gran Azul”, magazine specialized in diving, Newspaper “El Norte” from Monterrey, Mx., magazine “Nuestra Boda”, magazine “Limite Vertical” and the front cover of the magazine “4 Vientos”.

He currently runs his own Studio of Photography located in Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Mexico.
