Luca Cappellaro was born in Rome in 1966. He attended Istituto Superiore di Fotografia in Rome in 1993 where he specialized in photojournalism and fine art black and white photography.

In 1995 he became a professional photographer engaged in social issues. In 1998 he founded Fine Art Wedding with the intention of giving wedding photographs that are often mortified by a superficial use of the photographic language, a distinct expression.

He works with black and white film and does handmade silver gelatin printing according to the ancient tradition of dark room processing. In 2006 he also started working with digital photography, producing printed books, bound by hand, where the wedding report becomes a real story of images and details with an unpredictable rhythm.

He alternates his profession of wedding photojournalism with contemporary art projects.
