AG|WPJA The Artistic Guild of the WPJA

Issa studied photography at Art Center College in Pasadena before going on to work as a photojournalist for the Los Angeles Weekly. Her work appears in Wired, Smart Money, Fortune and Los Angeles Magazines, among other publications. Her photojournalistic style and fine art approach have made her a much sought after wedding and event photographer. In 2001 she travelled to Budapest, Hungary to shoot production stills for "An American Rhapsody" (Paramount Classics). Her extraordinary photographs of Cuba and Hollywood were recently included in 3 retrospective shows of her work in Los Angeles. Her awards include: the Black and White Spider Award (2007 and 2006), Camera Club of New York National Photography Competition (2006), Women In Photography Jurors Choice 100 (2006), WPJA Artistic Guild - 4th Place Winner (2006), International Center for Photography Award Winnner (2005), Women In Photography Decisive Moments Competition - Honorable Mention (2005), International Center for Photography Award Winner (2004), and WPJA - Kids 9th Place (2003).

The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Issa Sharp.
