EXCITING NEW AGWPJA CATEGORIES FOR THE Q3 2009 CONTEST!

subject in photos submitted in this category. Portraits are not allowed in this category.
2. GROOM

subject in photos submitted in this category. Portraits are not allowed in this category.
3. SENSE OF PLACE / ARCHITECTURE
Images that capture the feeling, majesty, and ambiance of the ceremony/reception, and highlight the most appealing aspects of the
structures/settings (churches, reception halls, tents, patios, beachfronts, woods, etc.) where the events of the day transpired.
4. EMOTION
Entries that unobtrusively freeze intriguing expressions ranging from joy to tears.
5. OFF-CAMERA FLASH / STROBE

controlling the lighting, often overpowering the existing ambient light. Portraits are not allowed in this category.
6. DANCING
Anything from the reception dance floor that illustrates the mood of a particular moment (from the first dance to the end of the
party).
7. TRASH THE DRESS (TTD) PORTRAIT
Any image, created AFTER the wedding ceremony (typically from a different day), that depicts the bride or couple in formal wedding
attire, trashing the dress, regardless of setting.
Trash The Dress (TTD) competition entries are created after the ceremony with primary direction provided by the photographer.
Entries are judged on creativity, technical proficiency, composition and lighting.
Gritty, romantic and uniquely sexy, TTD photo shoots challenge the photographerÕs creativity, imagination and technical aptitude.
Enjoyed by thousands of brides and couples worldwide, these on-location photo sessions commemorate the wedding and cherished gown
within a glamorous, frivolous and often lively post-nuptial portfolio. TTD sessions meld formal wedding attire within unconventional
settings. For example, sessions are frequently held on sandy beaches, amidst crashing ocean waves, at rustic farms, on playgrounds
or in urban settings.
