FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - FAQ

Q. HOW DO I GET THE 'FILM NEGATIVES ICON'?

The [AG]WPJA provides the 'film negatives icon' to identify members who provide film negatives in their packages or make the wedding negatives available to their clients in some other way. This feature is NOT available for 'digital only' members.

Q. HOW DO I GET THE 'HI-RES. CDs/DVDs ICON'?

The [AG]WPJA displays the 'Hi-Res.CD/DVD icon' for members who burn Hi-Res. wedding images to CD or DVD for their clients. File sizes should be large enough to enable clients to enlarge and reprint on their own.

Q. HOW DO I GET THE 'DIGITAL CAMERA ICON'?

Many [AG]WPJA members who are embracing digital photography while still shooting some film, may show the 'digital camera icon' next to their listing(s) for this purpose.

Q. HOW DO I GET THE 'DIGITAL-ONLY CAMERA ICON'?

Members who only shoot digital photography at weddings get the 'digital-ONLY camera icon' next to their listing. The 'film negatives icon' is not available if a member displays the 'digital-ONLY camera icon'.

Q. HOW DO I GET TO THE TOP OF THE SEARCH RESULTS PAGES?

Member ranking on each page of the [AG]WPJA web site is based primarily on participation in [AG]WPJA contests.

The order by which members are ranked on a page follows the guidelines listed below:
Generally, [AG]WPJA members are listed on the site regionally, according to their primary business location. Within these local pages, there is more ranking--the order goes as follows (top to bottom):

1. Photographers with the most points after each [AG]WPJA contest. This includes placement points (1st-10th place), as well as participation points. Each contest entry receives one participation point. An explanation of 'placement points' can be found in the 'General Contest Info.' section under 'Judging Procedures'.

2. Members not entering the contests (seniority listing).

3. Photographers from other areas that request extra state listings. Those with highest points will be featured at the highest levels available for out-of-state listings. Award-recipients rank higher on the [AG]WPJA listing pages, the top positions being reserved for the members with the most contest points (in their state/region) from the most recent contest.
