Judges Comment: This image is a pure joy to look at! It caught my attention the second I saw it. We've all shot bubble exits but this is by far one of the best I've ever seen. I would have liked to seen the couple a tad more out of focus as well cleaning up the background a bit, especially the red artifacts to the left of the groom.
Judges Comment: This image shows me something that I could not have seen as a guest. The execution is darn near perfect! The hand at the bottom of the frame looks like it was flashed pretty hard and most likely was a little hot/slightly blown in camera. Kudos on the artificial light!
Judges Comment: Foreground to background information is what keeps the viewer "in this image." All of the elements compliment one another and make this "quiet" image a killer detail!
Judges Comment: Details should relay information to viewer about the event. This composition gives a great sense of place and shows both the sophistication and elegance of the venue. The dress leaves me wanting to know more about this grand affair.
Judges Comment: The shallow focus and pastel color palette really make this image. I would have removed the dark object from the bottom right hand corner of the frame.
Judges Comment: Visually stimulating, the layered textures/brush work completes this image. Nice work!
Judges Comment: I really like the composition and use of the "typical" mirror in this shot. The muted color on either side of the mirror forces a point of entry into the mirror. Darkening the overall image would have helped focus the viewer to the dress quicker.
Judges Comment: The Martini glass compliments the texture of the glass sculpture. The treatment of this image (blue tint) keeps me thinking about how "cool" this image.
Judges Comment: A wedding dress doesn't need to be hanging to be classifed as a "detail." The image gives a soft and sensual feel. The hotter area in the upper portion of the image keeps my eye in the frame.
Judges Comment: The photographer's creative thinking resulted in a nice ring shot. The image would be a quicker read if cropped from the top and bottom.
