Reception: Photographs that document festivities from the cocktail hour through the last dance and departure.
Judges Comment: A wonderful moment between father and daughter. The heavy burning a slight warming tone highlights the subject without isolating them from the background.
Judges Comment: Great toasting images are hard to come by and the combination of a strong graphic element paired with the curiosity of the couple tells the story within one frame.
Judges Comment: This could have easily been a mundane image with a cluttered background but by bending their knees the photographer was rewarded with a funny, unique moment.
Judges Comment: True intimacy and softness radiate from this small side moment. The camera doesn't always have to be on the bride and groom to capture beautiful moments at a wedding. The image is further simplified by the subtle toning which could have easily been distracted by the ballroom color.
Judges Comment: The shallow focus and added grain gives the image a T-Max 3200 look. The brightness of her eye reveals her joy and the image treatment keeps the moment real.
Judges Comment: Dark and mysterious. I really appreciate images that clearly show our clients what they are not capable of seeing.
Judges Comment: The saturated color pallet enhances the motion and excitement on the dance floor.
Judges Comment: The soft diffused glow maintains the quietness of the moment even though they are in the spotlight. The photographer did a great job capturing the moment just before the kiss.
Judges Comment: The punchy contrast and blurred edges compliment the great framing. Removing the strobes reflection in the center of the image would have alleviated the small distraction and strengthened the image.
Judges Comment: The overall variance in color and tonality makes this image a pleasure to view. The wonderful moment of the boys in motion layered with the tent and houses in the background give a great overall of where the wedding took place.
