Judges Comment: Way to think outside the box! Excellent Photoshop skills and concept by the photographer! Our only suggestions are to tone down the foreground highlights and a slight crop off of the bottom.
Judges Comment: A composite image is tough when dealing with one person but add a second and you've quite a challenge. The photographer had a great concept and really pulled it off! This image would be even stronger if cropped from the top and bottom to a strong horizontal. Way to go!
Judges Comment: We can't say enough about this portrait - beautifully lit, fun, dramatic sky and just enchanting. We're going to tuck this idea away for one of our next after-sessions.
Judges Comment: Location, location, location -- love it! The bride's dress just pops out of this image as the couple strolls down the hill. Good seeing by the photographer to place the couple just right in the frame
Judges Comment: Sexy! Beautiful toning, enhancements and overlay make this already interesting portrait even better. Nice use of the location... but the groom's a bit stiff : )
Judges Comment: The blood-red sky and beautiful off-camera lighting create this dramatic portrait! We'd love to see just a tad more of the groom’s face.
Judges Comment: Cool composite portrait for a very hip looking couple! Good Photoshop and the smart use of a clean background helps to bring this image together.
Judges Comment: Color splash! What a wonderful location for a portrait and a creative “pose” for the couple. I wonder how many times the couple had to throw the bouquet to get it upright.
Judges Comment: This image has a wonderful cinematic feel. Nice thought process by the photographer to have them dash by the arch.
Judges Comment: We've never thought of shooting in a rainstorm but this image sure makes us want to! A slight crop off of the top would make the couple pop even quicker.
Judges Comment: The location is really cool as is the processing and toning of the image. We'd like to know your thought process and how the couple welcomed your ideas. Drop us an email.
Judges Comment: Beautiful beach scene with crystal clear waters... makes us want to join in on the shoot. The use of the multi-colored shed roofs makes a great foreground (not distracting at all) and provides a strong frame for the couple. We'd suggest cropping from the top to just below the buoy.
Judges Comment: We usually don't think of blacktop as a beautiful backdrop for a portrait but this sure works! The image shimmers and tricks the eye into thinking it's more than wet pavement. Good seeing by the photographer and kudos for trying and succeeding at a non-traditional portrait.
Judges Comment: An interesting image that keeps your eye bouncing from left to right. Burning down the left-hand side of the frame would easily create a quicker entry point to the couple.
Judges Comment: A simple portrait with a very cool ‘brush’ effect. The image needs a little more energy from the couple and we're wondering what it would look like if shot a tad looser, showing more of the environment.
Judges Comment: Romantic and enchanting best describes this image. A little crop off the left, losing the torch would alleviate the competition between the torch and couple.
Judges Comment: This image evokes a quiet and ethereal feel. The image needs some more finessing to help the view find the couple quicker. We'd suggest a nice and even vignette and a slight crop off of the top
Judges Comment: Good use of light and the textured overlay nicely complements the warm feel of this image. The sun shining through the fence makes a really nice graphic for the lower portion of the frame. One suggestion: erase back the overlay so it doesn't hide the couple.
Judges Comment: We like the setting as well as toning but would have liked the photographer to be a bit lower so their heads wouldn't have merged with the horizon. Good sense of timing to capture the veil in the wind. It gives the image a nice balance.
Judges Comment: This image has a timeless feel and makes us wonder, what year is this? There's so much going on in the frame that the addition of the overlay only adds to information overload. We'd suggest cropping out the light post at left and backing off the overlay opacities just a bit.
