Judges Comment: I love the crop here. It is very hard to crop a face across a nose and have it work. In this case the crop brings the eye right to the subject’s chin which really says it all. A really nice moment.

Judges Comment: A very intimate and sexy view of Getting Ready. The out of focus foreground and framing of the subject really help accentuate the subject. My only reservation about this image is that I wish I had a slightly better view of the woman adjusting the garter. If I could see her with a little more definition the image would be even stronger but it is still a very strong image.

Judges Comment: I kept coming back to this image and the more I came back, the more I liked it. I think what really makes this work is the fact that you really can't see the woman's face. If you did see her face, the pearls would not be as strong. The juxtaposition of the strands of pearls and the simplicity of the image really work to create a rather unique image.

Judges Comment: This image really grows on you and the more I look at it, the more I like it. There is a subtle hint of color in the skin and extreme drama created in the clouds. The framing, light and shadow all work to make a very dramatic image indeed.

Judges Comment: This is a really nice shot. The detail of the dress and the crop really help. This could have easily been a shot of a pair of breasts but the photographer really approached this in a special way. Nice job.

Judges Comment: Very simple shot with strong graphic appeal. The veil and framing of this image really make it a strong image. It is an excellent example of how something so simple can still be very dramatic.

Judges Comment: While this image is relatively simple, I kept coming back. The detail and color obviously make this work. I think the photographer did a good job. I also feel like this is a subject that could really be explored as there may be even stronger images to be had. She has stunning lips and I would like to see more of the lips and the jewels in front. I am not convinced that the hand underneath helps the image.

Judges Comment: A very humorous view. I think the image could be even stronger if it were cropped up from the bottom. I don't see the couch helping the image.

Judges Comment: This is a very sexy and intimate moment. The light is quite nice as well as the framing.

Judges Comment: The first reaction made me laugh. It is a very nice image and very funny. I think it would have been stronger if the clock was eliminated and the subject was framed better. The feet being cut off bothers me as does the chair on the lower left hand side and the chairs on the right hand side. I think the image would benefit from a tighter crop and burning down the edges. Additionally, this image would really benefit from the Clarity Slider in Lightroom. Clarity boosts midtone contrast which would give this image a little more punch. Still, in the end this is a very funny image.

Judges Comment: A nice silhouette. I believe this image would be stronger if the left side was cropped and the top was cropped down to eliminate the bar. That said, it is still a very nice image.

Judges Comment: Another well done, funny image capturing the moment of humor. I don't think I would have burned down the corners quite so much.

Judges Comment: A really nice moment. I do think that this image would be stronger if the left side was straightened or cropped. The second woman behind on the right side detracts a bit as well but again, all in all, this is a strong image.

Judges Comment: The tone and framing of this image are indeed very nice. It is clean and simple but I wish that there was more of a moment which would create some drama and really turn this into something even stronger.

Judges Comment: I love the setting and love the color. The bag in the front and the sky bother me. A lower or higher angle to eliminate the sky would have helped.

Judges Comment: The first reaction to this image is a very nice one. When I look at it longer I see things that distract me. I have to wonder what this would look like if it were cropped just at the crease of the elbow. Not seeing her upper torso could really make this an extremely dramatic image. I like it but I think it could be stronger. The window on the left and the drape on the right bother me as does the foreground.

Judges Comment: Fantastic light. I love the almost silhouetted appearance of the women on the right and the juxtaposition of the wedding dress on the left. This is a nice image depicting getting ready.

Judges Comment: Very nice color and detail and I like the selective focus.

Judges Comment: The light in this image is gorgeous and I especially like all the black space surrounding the image, which adds to the graphic appeal.

Judges Comment: The view through the hole is a clever angle. I wish there were a little less on the outside of the hole and think the image would be stronger with a tighter crop but it is still a nice image.
