Judges Comment: Truly a beautiful and excellent image. Great composition, fantastic color. The placement of the couple in the frame is perfect and the location scout gets an A+. The only thing I would suggest here is to remove the minor vignetting in the corners.

Judges Comment: So simple and so elegant. The veil is spectacular and the image has fantastic color, clarity and detail everywhere and the angle is perfect. The only minor detail here is that I probably would have cloned out what looks like either two boats or buoys on the lower right hand side.

Judges Comment: Stunning image. Fantastic location and conceptually very well done. I suggest correcting the vignetting and distortion at the sides but otherwise a really great job.

Judges Comment: The red umbrella and shadow juxtaposed against everything else in this image is fantastic. I have seen variations on this image many times but this one is really a winner. The curves of the railings, the design and even the ability to see the bride’s arm through the veil all help to make this image a winner. Very nice job.

Judges Comment: This could have been really hokey but the photographer pulled this off and made it work 100%. The alignment of the finger and the bride looking away all come together. I probably would have brought the sand down a little more to make the writing more visible and probably would have brought the sky down more to make the bride stand out a bit more but still this is a fantastic image.

Judges Comment: I really like this image a lot. The couple in shadow and the real balloon are a perfect complement. Really nice job.

Judges Comment: Compositionally and conceptually, this image is fantastic and the sneaker color was a great choice. I would have liked to have seen more detail in the woman and the sky could use a gradient. The burn in the left hand corner should have been equalized throughout the sky but still this is a dramatic image.

Judges Comment: Another conceptually fantastic image and very well executed. The placement of the subjects and the angle of the photographer really complement each other. There is a spot next to the strap on the bride that is a little distracting and should be removed.

Judges Comment: The horizontal lines and the light contribute to make this a dynamic image. I love the guy up on the side but wish his leg was not quite in front of the palm tree. The whites in the image could use a little more detail but still a really nice image.

Judges Comment: So simple and so nice. The barren background and the color against the woman's hair are perfect. The dodging around the guy could be a little better. You can clearly see where he was dodged on the head and on the left side.

Judges Comment: A very well executed image. The position of the couple and the framing with the tracks is very nicely done. I would have removed the spots that occur in the upper right hand corner even if they were there intentionally. The toning works well here.

Judges Comment: The view from the back, lifting the dress, the light, the contrast and the two trees really work well. Conceptually excellent and the photographer holds nice detail in the whites and the blacks.

Judges Comment: I really enjoyed this image. I would love to know if the little boy on the scooter was intentional or happened just by chance. He of course totally makes the picture and the fact that he has motion makes it even better. I think the image is stronger if the bottom is cropped up just a bit, eliminating the orange chalk on the sidewalk on the lower left. The right side needs to be cropped just a hair to give a clean edge. Great image and a really nice job.

Judges Comment: Again, I really liked this image but I get the feeling that the guy might rather be skimboarding than to be with his wife-to-be... The skimboarder stepping into the frame from the left half cutoff is a really nice touch and the placement of the couple works well. There is a reflection or hot spot in the mountains to the right of the guy that should be retouched out. I also would have straightened the horizon line and brought down the water a little bit for detail but all in all, this is another really nice image.

Judges Comment: The toning is nicely done and this image has a very nice feel. The curved brick path works well. I would like to see more detail in the dress and a little more in the highlights on the left. There are some beautiful trees hiding in what appears to be fog that are visible if those highlights are recovered.

Judges Comment: This is a really fun portrait done well and with a sense of humor. The toning is accomplished just right but the dress could use a little more detail.

Judges Comment: If the couple were a little more pronounced, this image would have finished much higher up. The trees are cool and really add to the design. If the couple had a little more black and a little more contrast they may have worked better. I wonder if this image would not have been better in color which may have achieved having the couple stand out more. It is, however, still a winning image.

Judges Comment: So simple and quite nice. The snow on the side of the path is the perfect complement for the dress and the dark trees are the perfect complement for the tux. The upper right hand corner should have the branches cloned out and I would suggest the same for balance on the left side. The dress and the snow need a little more detail and clarity.

Judges Comment: The backlight is beautiful in this image and the strong shadows of the tree and the small sunburst are all a nice touch. There is detail just about everywhere and the composition is handled very nicely. I am bothered a bit by the two old ropes hanging from the tree as they draw attention away from the subjects. I probably would have retouched them out.

Judges Comment: I saw this image on the first pass and immediately flagged it as something I really liked but had some trouble with it when I went back a second and third time. The couple is simply fantastic. The veil is great and the guy looks comfortable. The green background is also fantastic and had this couple just been on the green background with no other elements, it would have placed right near the top. What bothers me is the leaves look like marijuana plants and I think that they are distracting. On top of this, the humming birds compete against the main subject, making the image just too complex with competing elements. There are also some distracting spots on the center leaf and the blend of the two birds on the right is not as clean as it should be. I think all of this is unfortunate because the couple and the green background are really outstanding.
