Judges Comment: Really strong image for this category. This image has gesture, form, and texture and light and it was an image that I just kept coming back to. In some ways this is so simple but elegant at the same time. The veil hanging on the left side and dropping out of the frame works really well and I love the head cropped out. The blue tinting and the grain structure are a nice added touch. I wish there was a bit less movement in the perfume bottle.

Judges Comment: A really refreshing twist with some really magnificent touches on a shot that I have seen many times. The off white tones of the walls are a perfect compliment to the dress. I love the foot of the bride in gold and really like the two legs behind the bride. All you need to see are those legs and you can instantly tell that she is holding the back of the dress. The vertical lines on the staircase contrasting with the horizontal lines on the walls also compliment the flowing lines of the dress. The only thing that bothers me at all in this image is the left side which I would have cropped out.

Judges Comment: Another image that I went back to several times. Hard to know exactly what is going on but I like all the negative white space contrasting the white dress and guy in the background. I like that both the groom and the bride are off kilter and leaning. There is a bit of flare in the groom which could be easily fixed and I would like to see a little more detail on the left side of the dress but all in all it is really a very interesting image.

Judges Comment: This is an image all about gesture. The expression and body language of the little boy make this shot. Burning down the corners brings attention to the interaction between the bride and the little boy. Nice detail held in the dress. There is an edge of something green on the right side which I would have cropped out but it is still a terrific image.

Judges Comment: A perfect example that good images can be made in all kinds of light and all kinds of weather. The boost in saturation and contrast and the pattern of the tiles help to make this a very graphic and strong image. Very nice angle as well. The top right hand corner is a bit bothersome and I would suggest a little crop on the right hand side to eliminate any black in front of the tiles.

Judges Comment: Very funny image. The robe over the dress says it all. The photographer did a nice job holding detail in all the whites. There is something entering the frame on the lower right hand side which could be cropped out.

Judges Comment: Very artistic approach. I love the texture and the concept. I would have placed this higher up if the faces were a little more clear. Both heads are a little obscured and I think that makes it a little tough to read but it is still a solid image.

Judges Comment: Simple and clean. I like the tone of the image as well as the selective focus and blur on the dress. I am not a big fan of the frame around the edges but that is a personal choice.

Judges Comment: Love the movement and the gesture created by the legs out the side of the golf cart. Nice angle and nice light accentuated by nice color on the right side. Well done...

Judges Comment: Love the swirling motion which gives gesture and the sense of texture in the white of the dress. I am bothered by the triangle formed in the upper left and the background on the left hand side. I think a crop down from the top and burning down or opening up the left side would have helped this image become stronger.

Judges Comment: The red lanterns surrounded by all the white provides a strong graphic appeal. There is very good detail held in all the whites especially in the veil over the face and in all parts of the dress. I like the high contrast and the green tree on the right contrasting the leafless tree on the left. Very well done...

Judges Comment: The juxtaposition of the hands and the colors of the dresses against the white background a white wedding dress help to make this a very strong image. I would suggest a slight crop on the bottom eliminating the leg showing on the left so that the bottom of the frame is pink, white, pink.

Judges Comment: I love the crop. The negative space on the entire left side is nice touch. I would suggest smoothing out the tones to keep them even on the left side eliminating the two darker areas on the bottom. Additionally the grooms face was oversharpened which leaves telltales signs in the face.

Judges Comment: Love the punched up blacks and the contrasting warm tones on the stone. This is a good example of an image that really benefits from the toning. The bottom of the dress is slightly soft which also a nice touch. Simple and well done.

Judges Comment: Very nice texture and gesture. I might like to see a bit more of the brides face.

Judges Comment: Very nice toning, good gesture . The white of the car and the white of the dress and the white umbrella all work well together especially complimented by the red on the front of the car and the bouquet.

Judges Comment: Very simple and clean image. The white of the dress against the warm toned background creates a very nice feel.

Judges Comment: Good solid graphic appeal. Nice detail in the white of the veil against the sky. The dress itself could use a bit more detail and I probably would have cloned out the corner on the left side replacing it with sky to balance both sides.

Judges Comment: Very nice graphic enhanced with some extra contrast and it works very well as grayscale.

Judges Comment: I love the crop and it is a hard crop to pull off. Usually a crop at the nose just doesn't work but the top of the head in the upper left flowing down to the body in the lower right works well and the image is aided with very nice toning.
