Kids (Being Kids): Entries of found moments depicting babies, children, and youth doing what they do best (kids being kids)!
Judges Comment: I loved this picture. The moment is awesome, the toning is good. It just captured a great relationship between old and young.
Judges Comment: Great moment captured by the photographer and the composition was clean and well presented.
Judges Comment: Gesture and expression really come together to make this shot a winner. The terrified look on the little girl is perfect.
Judges Comment: The composition in this photo is what set it apart from the rest. Well, that AND the lovely tones and hues. Of course, let's not forget there is also a really awesome moment taking place here.
Judges Comment: Great gesture and nice composition with strong color. The arm position of both boys juxtaposed off of each other works very well.
Judges Comment: It's not the kind of image I would normally select as a top winner but this one speaks for itself. The story is written on every face in response to the moment. It's a fun photo and a fun moment that probably made the wedding a fun memory for this young man.
Judges Comment: Every time I see this photo I laugh. As a child - I have lived this boy's moment. As a parent - I've lived it too. It's difficult to suppress that urge to blow out a candle meant to remain lighted.
Judges Comment: The expression in the boys face makes this a very compelling image. Good composition as well.
Judges Comment: Just a classic moment. I liked the toning of this image as well; it brought out the little girl’s eyes.
Judges Comment: What could be worse than a "time-out" when it's not a time-out? Stuck in her chair. Enduring the ceremony. Those must be her parents behind her with a readied "shush." It could be her "annoying" little brother beside her - wandering free and taunting her "imprisonment." We can't know the full story in this image but what does it matter. We get the picture and that's enough.
Judges Comment: Nice design and great gesture almost reminds me of a Bresson image. Nicely done.
Judges Comment: Great moment and great angle. I loved the situation and that the photographer captured it so well.
Judges Comment: This was one of those images that grew on me the more I looked at it. The image is quiet and could have been missed by some photographers. I liked how it was toned and good use of available light.
Judges Comment: When will it end? The horrors of kissing. It's bad enough that a young boy has to bear a few smooching scenes interrupting a favorite action movie. But it's gone far enough when it's right in your face. What a wonderful moment - perfectly executed by the photographer.
Judges Comment: Simple but nice with a really nice moment. I would suggest cropping out the leg on the right side.
Judges Comment: Love the juxtaposition of the girl in front hiding behind the dress and the couple embraced. Good clean strong composition and good tone.
Judges Comment: What an idyllic moment captured in an idyllic image. It's simply beautiful.
Judges Comment: In the spirit of WPJA – just a classic moment. He looks so small in the frame. Well composed by the photographer.
