Judges Comment: It was difficult to resist such striking graphical symmetry compounded by an excellent juxtaposition of both color and texture.

Judges Comment: It seems odd to choose such a simple image from a field of bold contenders in this category. Yet, that is the beauty of this photo - simplicity. The couple has become one with their world, virtually painted into the tableau behind them.

Judges Comment: There's nothing but open road for this couple starting their new life together as husband and wife. But, I love how the image portrays such an auspicious concept as a journey ignored, yet always fueled, with a simple kiss.

Judges Comment: There were a lot of portraits that played in the theatrics. This picture rose to the top. I liked the idea and the bride and groom’s personality was truly captured. The tonal quality of the image is great.

Judges Comment: There is more than post-processing technique in this image. Look closely and you'll see a sensitivity to both craft and subject to interpret the mood and feel of tradition via the look and feel of an early 1900's tin type.

Judges Comment: A portrait that celebrated the pure love between a couple. Out of all the images that celebrated composition and concept, I thought this image did just that- celebrated their love. But it was also well composed and conceptual! ☺

Judges Comment: Great color palate and fun location. The photograph is beautiful to look at. It did not have the personality represented like the images that were placed higher, but the composition was great.
