Judges Comment: Interesting character study and composition. Nice use of color.

Judges Comment: It was all about the expression in this image. It was a great moment and the image jumped out at me quickly. The image is well composed and is toned well. But when it comes down to what is important, it is still a nice moment and a great picture of the bride.

Judges Comment: This image is subtle, but still about a great moment. I loved the way the reflection frames the young woman. It is a quiet, beautiful image.

Judges Comment: Humorous and clean. I love the crop and composition and the color of the dog and the dress work well together.

Judges Comment: Great lighting and very graphic. The use of the negative space is a bit heavy-handed, however.

Judges Comment: The color palate was really well thought out for this picture. Concentrating the tones on her red hair and lips really accentuates what was powerful in this picture - its femininity. Beautiful!

Judges Comment: The moment is great. The position of the hands and his expression say it all.

Judges Comment: The color palate created in this picture really brought out the bride’s eyes. I liked the way the lighting honors her face and the way the mirror is positioned to place us in her thoughts. This is a moody but lovely photo.

Judges Comment: So simple and so clean. The lighting and design of this image work really well. The hand on the left side holding the hair is a nice touch. Strong graphic appeal.

Judges Comment: So many of the getting ready images are only about people but this too is a well executed getting ready shot that goes outside of the people only realm. The black and white background with the strong red works very well. Nice job.

Judges Comment: This photo has an element of chaos to it, but what anchored me was her reflection. I love that I can move through this image and find her looking at me. I feel “caught” by her, and that adds a level of sophistication to this image.
